
Julia Grinkrug is an urbanist, educator, and designer leading independent research and practice. As a senior lecturer at California College of the Arts and Academy of Arts University in San Francisco, Julia promotes social and cultural literacy in architectural education through community engagement in addressing real-world problems.

Julia holds a Masters of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University, Graduate School of Design and Bachelor of Architecture from the Technion, Israeli Institute of Technology.
Basing on international experience in architecture and urban design, Julia explores topics of cultural resiliency and architectural agency though practices of participatory design. Her research lies at the intersection of a macro vision at the ecological scale and micro action at the human-scale.
